615 words today. 68,746 total. Third day of regular progress reports. Sick of them yet?
I got a little stuck this morning and had to spend too much time looking back at my outline, which I found anemic and unhelpful for this particular section of the novel, so it was one of those mornings when I spent more time figuring out what to write than actually getting words onto the page. But that’s okay, that’s just part of the process.
On another note, while working on my school project that centers around The Grapes of Wrath, I found myself reading passages from that novel and marveling at John Steinbeck’s craft. I’d forgotten how well that book is written. It makes me want to step up my game!

Keep up the good work! I read the Grapes of Wrath twice, once in high school and once in college- and you’re making me want to read it again! Not that it’s a bad thing, I just have a lot of haven’t been read books on my to-read list, too! It never ends.

Well done! Time to sort out structure is still ‘writing’ isn’t it? 🙂
